Thursday 26 July - Failed Work After getting home from work I set up a barbeque and provided Jon and Jo (my oldest bestest friends from college) and Sue (my girlfriend) with dinner - salmon steaks for us and quorn tika fillets for Sue, along with tsatsiki and salad, as well as coleslaw and bagels with cheese. Then Jon wanted us to do the glueing strap thing, but after sorting out the garage to create space for this epoxy extravigansa, I got involved in a stupid argument with Sue and stormed off. So we failed to do anything to the punt, but from a social point of view I guess the evening was ultimately a success. I hope I actually get the glueing of the punt base done this weekend - Jo has promised to come along, so it should work out. Jon is going to a drumming course, so we won't be seeing him till next week. Hey - wouldn't it be amusing if we'd finished the punt by the time he came back? Unlikely, but ... |
